Hi! My name is Misty Reinecke, a licensed clinical social worker and certified trauma professional specializing in individuals living with trauma, traumatic brain injury or caregivers, and military and first responders. I have always loved helping people heal from trauma and find their power. As a TBI mom, I also enjoy exploring what healing means to those living with traumatic brain injury and helping caregivers navigate and balance their new emotions and responsibilities. I have a lifelong dedication to helping those who serve us in the military or as a first responder, including corrections. As an Air Force daughter, wife, and mom, being a cop’s wife, and having some law enforcement experience myself, I understand the importance of having quality supports and self-care.
As a natural born helper and counselor, it has been truly amazing to build a practice to serve those who need guidance most. My goal is to provide a safe space for clients to work through their pain and past hurts, find freedom from that pain, and begin to flourish in the lives they desire most. I believe in honesty with kindness without judgment and authenticity. I will be direct and open when it is needed most and can be received, but always encouraging and supportive of healthy thinking and progress. One of the best feelings is getting to the end of a journey with a client and seeing them become a new version of their best selves.
Beratung Services is a longtime dream come true and a place in which people can come to find hope and inspiration, to heal, and to start to flourish in their new freedoms. My own adventures to this place include many past positions that supported diverse theories, perspectives, and education. I received my first Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice while simultaneously getting my Bachelor’s in Social Psychology with focuses on Clinical, Abnormal, & Developmental Psychology at Park University. My Bachelor’s was quickly followed by an academic year of Mental Health Counseling, but switched to my Master of Social Work degree with concentrations in Military and Clinical Social Work from University of Southern California.
On a personal note, I am a faith-centered empty-nesting mom and wife who loves spending time with her husband, our dog, Kaiser, and our grown sons whenever I can wrangle them into one space at once. In my spare time, I enjoy tinkering with my full-sized Bronco or adventuring through the mountains for fun, grounding, and peace. I also enjoy cheering on the USC Trojans during football season, traveling abroad to different places (Europe being one of my favorites), and enjoying great foods anywhere I am. I dislike liver, slimy foods, being bored, and bugs. I look forward to getting to know you while we walk together on your journey.
